Guitar Pickup Phase Tester
The Guitar Pickup Phase Tester lets you identify quickly and easily any pickup wires from the positive to the negative side of the coil with the correct phasing. The green led indicates the positive phase and the red led indicates the negative phase. When laying a piece of metal such as a screwdriver blade or a ruler on top of the pole pieces to simulate strings vibrating, it disturbs the magnetic field and sends the signal to the circuit board. The initial contact reveals the phasing of the coil. You can then wire your new pickups accordingly.
